Sports Day Success

Philip Pentony. 20 July 2026

PFit Sports Day 2026

Saturday 18th July will be a day we'll remember for a very long time.

Without a doubt, this is the biggest achievement we've had at PFit. Not because of the amount of planning, organising and hard work that went into making it happen, but because of what we saw on the day. The smiles, the laughter, the encouragement and all of the amazing feedback made every bit of effort worthwhile.

There were so many moments that had everyone laughing. People getting absolutely soaked, eggs flying everywhere, and discovering that some of our self proclaimed alpha males can't actually throw a welly very well. It was chaos in the best possible way.

We also finally settled the biggest debate of the day in the coaches race. I think it's only fair to mention that I won it convincingly. I won't mention who finished last... I'll let them recover in peace.

Days like this remind us just how far PFit has come over the last few years. We've grown into something that's so much more than a gym. It's a community of people who support each other, have a laugh together and genuinely enjoy spending time together both inside and outside the sessions.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible team, Cam, Liam and Becca, for running the show and keeping everything moving throughout the day.

Thank you to my lovely mam for taking hundreds of amazing photos that captured so many brilliant memories.

Thank you to Meg from Threaded workwear, our T shirt sponsor, for putting in hours of hard work to turn around a last minute order and making sure everyone looked the part.

And finally, an enormous thank you to the amazing Sara and the Metcalfe family. From cutting the farm especially for us, marking everything out, surprising everyone with the giant inflatable slide, and helping organise the food alongside Mel, the amount of effort you all put in behind the scenes was incredible. We honestly couldn't have done it without you.

It was also fantastic to finish the day at the cricket club with a few drinks. The turnout was brilliant and a big thank you to Lucy Clark for organising the venue.

One of the best things to hear throughout the day was how many people were already saying they would definitely be back next year. That's exactly what we hoped for, so when next year's date is announced, keep it free.

Finally, thank you to every single person who came along, joined in, cheered everyone on and made the day what it was.

PFit is only what it is because of the people in it. We can organise the events, but it's your energy, your support and your willingness to get involved that makes this community so special.

Thank you for being part of PFit. You are the reason this community is what it is today, and we can't wait to do it all again next year.
